Site Reforms |

As some of you may or may not have noticed, the site is undergoing some MAJOR changes over the past few days, and is expected to undergo some more changes.
One of these, is the re-introduction of the U.N.V. Nexura, which I am happy to say is being staffed very quickly. It is under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Jennifer Etearna and Major Jason Dracar.
A number of other changes include banners changing, such as the USS Pillar of Dawn's and the USS Tria's banners, as well as the addition of a more organized bio area (with the ships banners posted up to make it clearer). They also include the addition of a "Resignations" area, and an "Armory". There has also been the addition of several new banners, such as for the Armory, the Personnel Files, and the Resident Lounge.
Other areas, to HOPEFULLY gain banners are the ship commanders offices, mission planning areas, the Leave of Abscence area, in addition to the Resignations area.
We are sorry for any disruption of confusion these changes may have or will cause, and we ask that you please bear with us. |

Task Forces? |

Who here (like myself?) remembers the old task forces? Who would like to see it be returned to the old Task Forces system? Or do you all like the current system more?
The old task force system removed the boards from the main board, and had them set into sub-boards where you scroll down to your task force, click on your ships banner, and it takes you to the board for the ship, where you have access to all the ships sub-boards. |

Administration Requests |
| Posted by Anne DuGalle - 12-7-08 16:30 - 12 comments |

Good evening everyone,
I've set up a thread in the Officer's Club for the use of requesting Admin Work to be done. Things that should be listed there are...- Changing Ranks
- Changing account names
- Creating mission boards
- Locking old mission boards
- Suspension/Ban requests (ONLY THE SJA MAY REQUEST)
Only Commanding Officers and Executive Officers of simulations are permitted to request admin work. Please, do not sidestep the Chain of Command - ask your CO or XO to take care of admin work, and they will relay it up the chain to the people who have the appropriate admin rights. This isn't much of an issue here on the HQ Boards (in which either an XO or CO on each simm is an admin, sometimes both), but on the Fleet Forums this may be an issue.
ALSO REMEMBER: All graphics requests go into the graphics department board. This include signatures, avatars, etc. |

Full Starfleet Review |

I am announcing a full review of all ships in Starfleet for a period of one (1) month. Any ships that are not at a satisfactory level of activity and quality as determined by the MAJCOM staf will BE DROPPED.
COs, make sure that your members are posting actively. This also marks the time when all ships in Starfleet have reached their 1-month time period for recruiting at least three (3) members onto their ships. If you don't, then you WILL BE DROPPED.
Thank you and have a nice day. |

Training Simm |

Attention all personnel, we have begun the training simm. Please direct yourselves there, there is NO NEED to make a second account for this. Members of the Enterprise, Trevathin, and Hu Jin Tao are to report in there, PRIMARY CHARACTERS ONLY. You will be PMed when your inspection is over and you can stop posting, unless you really like the Yongsan simm, then you can keep playing in it. Check back here for when members of other smms need to come in. |

With the absence of some of our personnel, I'm going to be implementing the following actions to get Starfleet back on track. Read this post carefully please.- Task Force 169's CO will remain unchanged, and R. Adm. Raltz will retain control
- The Starfleet HQ simm will be placed into NPC status pending return of activity.
- The USAF Daedalus and the USS George Hammond will be placed into NPC status pending return of actiivty.
- Task Force 288 Command will temporarily be granted to Colonel Eddie Wu, CO of the ROTS Tai Yang
In addition, this is a reminder for all COs to be posting MORE THAN once a week, and that all regular members should be posting AT LEAST once a week.
If you are having issues being able to keep up with posts because you are busy or otherwise, REQUEST AN LOA. If you just dissapear without an LOA we will assume that you have forgotten about us and individual COs will have the right to drop you from their simm.
Also; there is a Chain of Command. So use it. If there is a problem with your simm, Please follow the chain of command as the MAJCOM Staff CANNOT handle all the requests and work; that's why we appoint TFCOs and Division COs. As a reminder, this is the chain of command in Starfleet:- Ship's XO
- Ship's CO
- Task Force XO
- Task Force CO -- R. Adm. Snake (TF 169) and Col. Eddie Wu (TF 288)
- Starfleet XO (if different from TFCO) -- Currently unappointed
- Starfleet CO -- Billie Tyler
- SGTNG Chief of Staff -- Korin Leonard
- SGTNG XO -- Jeff Chan/Eddie Wu
- SGTNG CO -- Allen Yu/Anne DuGalle

Announcement |

This is a kind of thing that the SGTNG leadership has agreed to. We've noticed that a lot of American ships have too many British people on them, and we don't want this to continue.
Present members not included, all members onboard a Fleet ship will be in the national military services of the nation the ship is commisioned to.
IE: USS > USAF, USN, USMC, USA HMS > RAF, RN, RM, RA PLA > PLAAF, PLAN, PLA etc.
Once again, current members are not effected, this is only for new members. Mainly an announcement for COs actually.
Certain exceptions might be made on a case by case basis, as occasionally you will find American military officers working together with Korean or Taiwanese military members because of the close relations between the two countries, but you will never find America and Cuba military members on the same ship (unless it's the SEALs boarding a Cuban ship...). |

Bio Realism Rule NOT Official |
| Posted by Guest - 06-4-08 00:35 - 3 comments |

As you all know, Admiral Tyler has proposed a new law that all character bios must follow certain rules. In fact, this is NOT true.
I have received some complaints about this, but keep in mind that this rule is NOT OFFICIAL YET. For a rule such as that to be official, it must be passed through MAJCOM Staff. It has not, therefore, it is not a rule.
So basically, you don't have to really follow it, at least until it is approved. It hasn't even been proposed yet. We'll alert you if it ever passes through.
Sorry Admiral Tyler, you are the Fleet CO, but you can't make up your own rules. It's still a democracy, at least to a certain extent.
To Admiral Tyler: As a sidenote, if you want to kick me off or demote me for posting this interesting truth, you must get that approved by MAJCOM as well. Thank you, and have a nice day.
P.S. I intended no offense by this post, but simms are meant to be fun. When strict rules are imposed, it's not fun. |

Forum Shakeup + Task Forces |

Alright, so me and the other command people have been talking, and this is what we've just done with Starfleet.
Due to the recent influx of COs and the potential of even more COs, Starfleet has been divided into two Task Forces, namely 169 and 288. Admiral Jason Raltz has already been appointed CO of the 169, and we are still deciding on the 288 CO.
In addition, if you look at the forums, you will see we also divided it into 2 main categories, one for each forum. Simply click on the ship splash or the title of the sub-forum to visit your ship, nothing has changed.
Without further ado, this is the new lineup for our Task Forces:
169: -Jason Raltz, 169 CO (Shadowscythe) -Anne DuGalle (Enterprise) -Blaze Hubbard, 169 XO (Hammond) -Anthony Lowrey (Daedalus)
288: -John McTavish (Daniel Jackson)
Have a nice day! |

Alright now we have 4 simulations that are set up and ready to go! As a reminder to all COs, it is your duty to recruit 3 members for your simm within 30 days of it being started up. Please contact me over AIM (RebelPilotX) in order to get your simm started, and I look forward to seeing Starfleet become just as active as HQ! |
